Mom's nails again :P

I miss creating stuff on my own nails, but as I've told you before, I can't  :L And I even ran out of artificial nails to hide my nubbins. Oh well, at least this way mum get a lot of manis, haha =)

Funky yet Work Safe

Yes, nail art can be made to look work safe(kinda), simply by using a work safe color pallete. Have a look at it yourself. And if you don't have office rules to bother about, then use colours like lemon yellow, green, bright red and blue =)

(Reminder to self: Don't use cheap top coat for nail art *sigh*)

When My Nail Art Pens Call Out to Me

Sometimes, I really get into the mood for some nail art. That's happening a lot nowadays, & since my nails are too short, my mum gets to flaunt manicures like this. I wish I had this on my own nails. Urgh, why do schools have rules...? I still have two more years of short unpolished nails to go, well, on school days anyways.

The base is Catrice- Lets Talk About Barrie and the white tip and dots were made using a Nail Star nail art pen.

Oh, and Daily Polish is having an amazing giveaway in celebration of completing 365 days of blogging. Check it out here!

Birthday Mani!

Nope, not mine, it was my mum's birthday on Monday. So, today I'm showing you a simple nail art manicure that I did for my mum on that day.
The base is two coats of Orly Pixy Stix, and the photo is not colour accurate at all (sorry!). For the red tips, I used one coat of Revlon Red Hot Tamale. The white lines and dots were made using a Nail Star nail art pen. All topped off with one coat of Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics- I like it on top( top coat).

Friday

Superstar Nail Lacquer- Party Purple

Today I'm showing you another beautiful Superstar Nail Lacquer, this one is called 'Party Purple'.

It is a gorgeous deep purple loaded with blue and pink shimmer, the blue shimmer being dominant. So obviously this is a blue leaning purple, a very deep, rich and sexy  shade. I'm gonna be wearing this one a lot as it's so perfect for fall =)

The formula was smooth and buttery, just like the other two lacquers that I tried from this brand. The swatches are two thin coats of Party Purple, without top coat.

Check out their website here You can buy Superstar Nail lacquers for $45 for a set of 5 or $10 each.

A huge thank you to all my  readers for getting me to 200 followers =) It flatters me to think that so many of you take out time to read my blog, thank you so much!!! If you are following my blog, and I am not following yours yet, please leave a comment on this post with your blog link and I'll definitely check out your blog as well.

Today, I decided to do a ruffian manicure. For the base, I painted two coats of BB Couture - Fuel Injector and one coat of Manglaze Matte Astrophe(which I absolutely LOVE). Then I created a ruffian using Glitter Gal 3D-Black. I felt that the manicure needed a little something extra, so I added the gold tip using Ciate- Ladylike Luxe. And there you have it, my version of a ruffian manicure =)

Sunday

Superstar Nail Lacquer- Remember Me Red

Here's another Superstar Nail Lacquer that I tried. It's called Remember Me Red. It's a deep red jelly that applies well and dries super glossy.

It was clearly very red in the bottle, but when I swatched it, I found that it leans kinda brown on my skin tone. But I'm not complaining, because this shade will now be great for fall =)

Shown are two coats of Remember Me Red. The first coat was a thin one. After waiting for 3-4 minutes to let the the first coat dry, I applied a thicker second coat to avoid any bald spots, and here is the result =) The swatches are shown without top coat.
