Alice and Jo's,  a Dutch etailer sent me some polishes from a new brand to try out. This brand is called Kinetics. I love trying out new brands, so I was very excited about these! :-) I can definitely say that they turned out to be much better than I had expected.

Here are the three I received. There was a fourth bottle, but it arrived broken. I don't think it was because of the packaging, cuz the packaging was pretty good. The bottle probably exploded because of the heat or something(yes, that does happen).

Today I have for you swatches of Velvet Green. Such a beautiful color, which is probably not totally unique for those of you with a 1000+ nail polish stash, but I have nothing like it in mine. Application was ok, I needed 2 coats for the swatch. I love the brush though, it flat and just awesome. The color is a super dark green base with hidden shimmer. I must say I'm glad to have this polish in my collection.

Hopefully, swatches of the other two will be coming soon :-)

I put on fake nails for this post, cuz you all know how short my nails are right now. The base is a franken, & the stickers are from the now quite popular nail art web store Viva La Nails :-) These stickers wear really well, & are quite flexible, so they don't don't lift up like many others I've tried.

I really recommend the stickers and decals from Viva la Nails.

Last week, I was (extremely) lucky to win Sweet Sugar's giveaway! (Gwenn has some of the most gorgeous nails and swatches on the blogosphere) When I came home from school today, the huge package was waiting for me. I'm truly overwhelmed, omg. Gwenn's generosity has left me speechless.... :-)

& my mom's new mani. I took the pix before I applied top coat, so it looks uneven. But Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics 'I Like It On Top' had evened everything out.

I'll probably post a bit more often now. Whatever was keeping me busy is over, sorted out, whatever... But since school has started, my nails are gonna remain short. So now manicures will either be shown on my mom's nails(like today) or I'll put on some fake nails & show you swatches/nail art :)

I did this manicure for my mom last week. You know, it's so much easier to photograph someone else's nails compared to photographing your own. 

I'm sorry, I don't know which polishes I used. Next time, I'll make a note of them :)
